Blog help !

  • To post a message

    • Click "site admin"or "login" under the META heading
    Enter username and password
    Select "write"
    Enter Title and Text in the "post" box. Either in "Visual" or "Code" mode
    Tick one (or two or more) of the category boxes...or add a new category and tick it
    Click "publish"
    View the result by clicking "view site"

    Often there seems to be excessive gaps in paragraphs -
    Click "edit" and view the message in "code" view
    Remove the blank lines
    "save"

  • Want to add a picture ?

    • Either whilst typing the original or in edit view
    Either use the "upload" box and enter the location of the file with the browse feature and "upload"
    Or
    Use the "insert/edit image" icon in the bar and complete the resultant dialogue box. This is mainly usefull when the pic that you wish to upload is already available on the internet ( you will need to enter the web address and location ), i.e.... "http://www.familynash.org/pics/coatarms.gif" (for example)
    Use other pic dialogue boxes to position the pic relative to the text
    Click "save" or "upload"
    Review / edit etc.

  • Want to add links

    • You can add links to other blogs or web sites
    Select "site admin" or "login"
    Select "Blogroll" tag
    View list of links already present
    Select "add links"
    Enter name of link and web address and tick one of the category boxes...or add a new category as per above
    Select the "target" tag and tick the "_blank box" (this will cause the link to open in a new browser window and not, replace your blog)
    Select "add link"

  • Other things to play with

    • Update your profile
    Play with the comments dialogue box
    Generally mess-up the blog !!
